Instructions for maintaining K&N air filters: Mechanical cleaning of the filter - either with a brush or by tapping the filter. Do not blow out with compressed air, as this may damage the filter. Then spray the filter with K&N cleaner. Do not use aggressive agents (gasoline, solvents...) for cleaning, as this may destroy the filter. After 10-15 minutes, rinse the filter with water. If the shape of the filter allows, rinse it in the opposite direction to the airflow. Allow the washed filter to air dry. After drying, impregnate the filter with K&N oil. Do not use oils other than those from K&N. Once the oil is slightly tacky, reinstall the filter. The maintenance interval can vary significantly depending on the driving conditions, ranging from 100 km (in very dusty environments) to 15,000 kilometers under normal road use.
