Denali is an American brand, the absolute top among auxiliary motorcycle lights. Uncompromising performance, materials, and craftsmanship.
Wiring of the lights:
- You can wire the lights in the traditional "dumb" way, connecting two wires to the motorcycle battery contacts and the third wire to the so-called switched positive. You can find the switched positive depending on the type of motorcycle, for example, from the main light, tail light, switch, etc. The disadvantage is sometimes more complicated connection, interference with the original wires, and also not utilizing the full potential of the lights. For such a connection, you need the wiring Denali Standard Wiring or Denali Premium Wiring.
- You can connect the lights through the Denali Cansmart electronic device manager. This allows for a plug-and-play connection without interference with the original wiring, offering a wide range of settings for how the lights should behave (e.g., brightness intensity, quick flashing simultaneously when honking, turning off one light while indicating, connecting additional components, etc. See the function descriptions on the electronic device manager's page.
- When you do not want or cannot use Cansmart, the best connection is through the Denali DialDim Light Controller.
For mounting on the crash bars, you will need clamps or even better Denali metal clamps.
If you do not have and do not want an upper crash bar, the lights can be mounted on specific brackets according to the type of motorcycle:
R1200GS Adventure LC 2014-2018
G310GS 2018+ you will need clamps.
To utilize the maximum potential of the lights, connect through the Cansmart electronic device manager according to the type of motorcycle:
R1200GS Adventure LC 2014-2018
You can connect the lights in dual-channel mode, i.e., for instance, the middle strip of LEDs will serve as daytime running lights, and with the motorcycle's high beam, all lights will turn on. For this connection, just the light set and the Cansmart are needed.
Another option is to connect the lights in three-channel mode. The lights can then light up as described above, and additionally, the middle strip of LEDs will serve as a turn signal. For this setup, you additionally need 2 pieces of 160cm extension cables.
For motorcycles where you do not want or cannot use the Cansmart unit, you can use the universal Denali DialDim light controller.
